Requirements

  • 10+ years advertising agency experience in Account Service
  • Demonstrated ability to grow client accounts
  • Experience managing and developing a team of 5+ people
  • Proven ability to interact with C-level decision-makers on client side
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of advertising agency deliverables and processes
  • Experience writing solid creative briefs
  • Demonstrated project management, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to provide leadership and strategic direction to an account team
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and to adjust to changes to satisfy client needs
  • Experience managing client budgets, billing, and timelines
  • Experience in strategic consulting a plus
Job description
The Director of Account Services will:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to the Account Service team regarding the management of client accounts
  • Oversee the client satisfaction, growth, and development of existing accounts
  • Maintain consistent levels of quality across all accounts
  • Manage and oversee profitability of existing accounts
  • Build the Account Service discipline within our agency to meet best-in-class standards
    • Recruit and retain top Account Service talent
    • Develop and implement best-in-class Account Service processes and standards
    • Develop and implement service levels that add value for our clients
  • Train, mentor, and provide career growth and development to Account Service team
  • Work with other functional/departmental heads to solve broader agency problems
  • Build and maintain the confidence of our clients in the Account Service group
  • Function as an escalation point for clients if they are dissatisfied with quality of work from Account Service group
  • Provide support for new business development
